I like "Localised Loop".

No, it's not the good term, because you can have a loop, ping-pong or random animation.
I heard more about "Moving hold".
I propose also "Repeat images"

Ping-pong and random are technically still loops. Moving hold is like saying running still, but Repeat Images says it all quite well IMO. It's like diplomatic language; say it all without naming names.
EDIT: Elodie, do you know that making a word bold doesn't work here anymore?

Yes, right here. I selected bold to be bold right now, in both cases, and nothing has changed.

Strange that I don't see it (except now in your quote) Here: bold and here italic. I see italic but not bold.

Right! So I agree with Repeat Images because it does say it all and it's clear.

I like 'Repeat Images' also. More descriptive of the functionality

"Repeat images" is ideal
as for Passe-Partout - it means a paper framing around a picture - not sure it makes a correct association with view-finder or anything to do with film or animation
as for bold, Paul - i see it too - I think it's your font settings in the browser...

Thanks, Soom, I figured it out after everyone said they could see bold, but I won't change my fonts since it serves me better in other areas. Thanks.
