Danke Slowtiger. Your idea is exactly what I'm lookin for. Unfortunately it's a lot of work to adjust the brush. Every time you have to extend or shorten the length of the instances and create a new animated brush.
Or is there a way to adjust the pressure-curve used by the anim option in the brush settings? If not maybe this could be a useful feature.

unfortunately animation is the only connection setting that doesn't have a graph :(

and slowtiger; when you set your brush to pressure, isn't there the problem that f you stay rather constant at one level of pressure, no dots may appear because at that level the animframes happen to be empty?

I didn't do any serious drawing, just tested this way, so you may be right.
