Chromatic Wheel - improvement suggestions

Post by habashtvpaint »

Hi, I have been using the Chromatic Wheel in TVPaint a lot and I miss a few very useful features that exist in other app with Chromatic Wheel tool.
Here's a list of features and improvements I would like to suggest adding to the Chromatic Wheel in the Color Panel of TVPaint:

1- the ability to select the additional colors (Complementary, Triad, Analogic, etc) by clicking on their circles... its not possible at the moment
2- the ability to enter a colour values (Hex, RGB, HSL) in the bottom panel
3- the ability to see and compare the new colour with the current colour (I suggest keeping half of the colour panel on top reserving the current, the other half can show the changing colour as the user drag the circles in the wheel)

At the moment, a click and drag lets you changes the position of the additional colours circles in the wheel, but can't do it with the opposite complementary colour circle (right opposite the main colour), which is a real missed feature because usually a double click should flip the selection to change the complementary colour to become the main colour.

I also realise that one click over the value panel will circle through the values, but a double click might be programmed to add the ability to type a value (if its possible from a programming perspective)

I hope any of this make sense :) Thanks.
