Paste and overwrite into timeline

As discussed here: viewtopic.php?f=10&t=8486" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I would like to be able to copy a selection of incidents, or frames, and paste them elsewhere on the timeline without disturbing anything else. Like, insert and overwrite, so that it leaves the timeline exactly as it was, except for what has been pasted, as in the picture on the discussion mentioned already.
