Different cursor for panning tool

I would like to know, if it is possible to change the cursor of the panning tool, because the following happens all the time when I work:
I use the point as the cursor in TVpaint.
I draw something with the point cursor and select something with the selection tool. Then I grab the Panning tool (or use the shortcut "T") and move something around.
I look something up elsewhere or think about something.
When I get back to TVpaint, I see the point cursor and think I have the drawing tool.
I want to make a stroke but accidentally shift the whole picture.
So, I have to undo this and get the drawing tool.
This happened so many times now and I was wondering, if it is possible to change the cursor for one tool.

Thank you for your feedback. I don't know if that can be possible, but I'll move your topic in the feature request sub-forum

Thank you Elodie for moving the topic, I was not quite sure where to post it.
I just saw that you have a different cursor for the "zoom tool" (magnifying glass with + ).
So, maybe it could be possible to have four arrows that point in different directions as a cursor for the panning tool.
I am fine with having a point for all the other tool. I am just talking about the panning tool, because quite often I accidentally shift the picture around.

Same is happening to me also all the time!
Very important feature, existing in every single graphic program I know. A cursor must give an idea on which tool you are currently using.
It could be just a very small symbolic indication next to the dot or cross.
P.S. And if the cursor can change when moving the mouse over a panel, I would suppose it could work also for changing tools?

You mean, like pen brushes or custom brushes ? No, that couldn't be possible.

Example: for brush - use the brush point, as it is now, for pan tool - use a hand with a cross (or some other symbol), for selection - use cross with S symbol, for cut-brush selection - use the cross with the B symbol, for floodfill - use a dot with a bucket symbol, etc.
isn't that possible?

But they all must have a precise dot or a cross to see exactly where we are clicking - so the best would be a dot or cross with a little symbol next to it, just to understand which tool we are on now. In this way, we will not need to stare at the Main panel every time to see which kind tool we are using right now.
