I met Uli in London a month ago, with his friend and colleague Boris.

He worked a lot in traditional animation and recently published a child book, with very sweet illustrations :

Step by step, Uli is working with TVPaint and I'm very happy, because I've just found this animation on Facebook, and I assume it was made on TVPaint :

I can't wait to see other animations like this !

I mailed him some year ago, suggesting TVP for his (now shelved) Girls of St. Trinian project, and he answered that this special project needed to be done exactly in the traditional way, on paper, with pen and pencil, to make sense.

Looks like he is changing his mind, slowly :)

Uli already has a license, but he was a little sceptical on the way to use the software and how it would suit to his needs. This is why I met him a month ago : to reassure him :)
Seeing a little animation from him made on TVPaint is a great pleasure for me, no doubt !

Uli is now making a film based on Ronald Searle's "Molesworth" stories.

(he had started making a film based Searle's "St. Trinian's" stories, but there was a dispute about the film rights , so that project is on hold .)

I'm so glad to see this.

When I met Uli for the first time, he looked very shy concerning the use of TVPaint Animation. And now, seeing him drawing and animated for his feature film is such a pleasure for me ! Keep up the good art !

Wow, he's done a great job at preserving the Searle style.

Interview with Uli Meyer from a few years ago (after the Molesworth project was presented at Cartoon Movie). TVPaint is seen during the video:

The Molesworth teaser trailer looks great (made with TVPaint). I hope at some point the film moves forward into full production. It seems to have run into some delays, but I have not heard that it is cancelled.
