Can't install tvpaint pro on Mac OS 10.8.4

We received educational server licensing for TVPaint on a 10.0 CD. We apparently can't update to latest versions until a successful install. I installed the app and sentinel on the client and the sentinel (ver 7.4.1) only on the Xserve which has OS 10.6.8. Clients are 10.8.4. (We can't upgrade the server but everything else) runs fine. Dongle is in server and we get the 'dongle is not present in usb port' with Test 1. I can see a table on the actual server and client. However opening tvp we still get dongle error message so I tried to set IP manually as in Test 3 (IPServer section) There is no fr.tvpaint.TVPaint100(pro).plist under /Library/Preferences. Nothing under user preferences either. We can't even progress to the Unlock code. Also I noticed we received 5 separate (server) dongles. We only have one remaining usb port on our server for 33 licenses. It seems one dongle has a 'hard limit' of 10. Is there a way to code the dongles to our 33 seats? Otherwise we cant use this app in our educational setting. Please help! Thank you, Marlene
