Is it possible to remove frames from an existing animbrush?

Do you mean is there a george command to do that? I'm pretty sure there isn't... but I think you could create a George script to remove (or add) frames to an existing animbrush.

Sven

Edit: No George necessary...

Actually, you can just EXPORT an animbrush to a file: be sure to select
Custom Brush:Display
As Animation
Format Deep
Mode RGBA
Alpha PreMultiply
Convert to No Conversion

then OPEN the same file as a project.
Edit by adding, deleting, enhancing or rearranging frames as with any project.
Then, re-recapture as a new animbrush and save it as a button.

Mads,
I guess it depends on what kind of drawing and painting you do. I use AnimBrushes everyday, pretty much all day. AnimBrushes (and George) are the defining advantages for me in using TVPaint.

But in your case you can probably edit out a few animbrush frames using the workflow I added to my previous post - i.e. save the animbrush out as a deep file and reload it as a project which is then edited same as any other project.

ok thankyou
so I guess the simplest way to remove frames from animbrush is to stamp the wanted frames over some instances and recut the brush.

It all depends on your animbrush and how you are using it. If all the parameters of the brush are 100% default and the stamp is clean, then fine.

In my case, many of my animbrushes have various adjusted brush parameters set, so simply stamping it and recapturing it will degrade the quality of the resulting animbrush - (like a xerox of a xerox). The placement of each individual image relative to the centered cursor can also be critical. Finally, the exact size of the animbrush deep file is the size of the project file that is reloaded. Recapturing the edited version back into a new animbrush is simply a case of grabbing the complete frame dimensions.

So I would prefer to save it out as a clean, deep file (automatically removing all the parameters) and then reload it as a temporary project file for editing.

There should be a script in the Creation Pack to do it.
Mike, can you confirm ?
