Hi,
A feature I thought about that can be useful, is to be able to crop an image when importing it as a layer or project, so only a part of it gets imported.
When I start animating a shot, I like to import the model sheets of the characters in the shot, but I usually only need a part of the model sheet, like the front or side, so it would be nice to be able to crop only the part I want. It is also useful for importing only a part of large backgrounds.

Well, but which part? Usually the software will cut off parts I still need.

Re: Cropping an image when importing
What I mean is that in the Import Footage window, you will be able to mark a rectangular shape around the area you want to import, so it won't import the whole image. If you can also specify the dimensions/proportions of this area manually like with the crop tool, then great.
