TVP 10 x-sheet problems

Post by wollomat »

Hi! Again working with TVP 10.0.9, 64bit in windows 7.

I have some issues with the xsheeet, since some of the animation I work with is delivered on paper. Also I have many layers of coloring, so using the x-sheet and a whole clip as source makes it easy for me to
do the timing.
1. I like the new feature to name the instances, like 9a, 9b. The inbetweener often adds additional drawings, and names them that way. But when I select a layer as source, all the names dissapear again, and I just have plain numbers.
Is there a way to keep the names in the source window?

2. The normal paper x-sheet always starts with 1.The timeline in Tv-Paint sometimes with 0. So I always have to substract one, wich makes it often confusing. Is there a way to make the counting in Tv-Paitn always start with 1, instead of 0? Like an option to set the start frame on 1, or cropping the timeline?

Not yet, but that's an excellent feature request !

In the startup panel you can set the start frame to 0 or 1.
To activate the startup-panel, go to "Edit > Preferences > Startup" and select "Startup panel" in the popup.
Then restart TVPaint, at the bottom right of the startup panel you can set the startframe to 1.
If you don't like the startup panel, you can hide it again.

Thanks for the quick answer.
Hereby I request the x-sheet name feature ;) Or should I post extra in the feature request forum?
We often work still with paper here in china, so it would be very useful.

The problem with the startup is solved, thanks!!

Please post it in feature request, or it may get lost...

I use this custom panel that Herve uploaded in the Contents Sharing thread HERE :

StartFrame_1_0.zip
Start_Frame_1_0.png
Start_Frame_1_0.png (10.25 KiB) Viewed 12293 times

A simple click on the "1" sets the start frame to 1. Click on "0" sets the start frame to 0.

I copied & pasted Herve's custom button "1" to my Animator Panel under "Misc." .
