frame number vs timecode

Does anyone know where I can find a quick converter to go from frame # to timecode and timecode to frame #? Or is this on a panel or something already in TVP?

When the TVP Timeline is set to Frames, I can't tell what my timecode is. When the Timeline is set to Timecode, I can't tell what frame I'm on! So I'm constantly switching the Timeline back and forth. Is there somewhere I can see both values at the same time?

Thanks,
Sharon

Not in TVP, I'm afraid.

I've made myself a nice little list fo the corresponding values. You could easily create one yourself in your favourite spreadsheet program, like Excel or OpenOffice.

Thanks, that's a good suggestion to make one up in Excel. Though there might be a small app around online - I'll let you know if I find one.

We definitely could use this feature, and I can't imagine it would be that difficult to program since TVP already reads the timeline in both formats.

I'll post this on the feature request forum.

To rapidly switch between timecode and frames# , there is a shortcut.

Got to the shortcut panel ( CTRL+K or in "Edit=>Preferences=>General=>Configure" ). The name of the shortcut is "Timeline: Toggle Frames/Time Code".
Then you just have to assign it to a key on your keyboard.

except after having applied the timecode in its own top-layer by yourself,
then, switching "TC" to "Frame", you will get both the frame count (tvp), and the timecode (layer) visible.
