Graphic Artifacts While Drawing

I'm getting unwanted strokes, blotches, and dots - graphic artifacts - while using the drawing tools. It seems to be a problem with all the raster drawing tools. They occur sporadically when the pen tip hits the tablet surface. It seems to be whatever the stroke shape for that tool is. In other words, if you call up the tool and it has a shape to identify it, then the unwanted artifact is the same as that identifying stroke.

I'm using a Wacom Intuos 3 tablet with a Wacom Grip Pen, on a PC running Windows XP Home.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hi Red guitar and welcome in the TVPaint community:D,

What is your current version of TVPaint (9.5.xx) ? I think this bug is already fixed in the final release.

I had that problem too, I'm on Mac in v9.5. I found the solution by going to Edit > Prefereneces > Display, and unchecking Tool Display > Hide Tools Preview.

I remember that a lot of people (inluding myself) fixed that with a simple update of TVPaint and also of the Wacom drivers.
