Way to make TVP behave like Photoshop?

I know this might be a really stupid question especially since I've only just started using TVP. But is there any way to reconfigure things in TVP to make it behave more like Photoshop? I really like TVP's brushes and everything but I'm having a very difficult time doing anything in a timely manner seeing as I struggle to do even the simplest things quickly as of now.

I will list some examples. If anyone could help tell me how to do these things or set it up so they have the same/similar shortcuts as photoshop it'd be greatly appreciated.

Some examples.

- I can't seem to find an easy way of selecting portions of a drawing an moving them or deleting them. In photoshop it's the marquee tool. In TVP i'm assuming it's rectangle select. However I still can't figure out how to drag it around seeing as there doesn't seem to be a regular move tool or hand tool. I don't know how to describe it but photoshop shortcuts would be (V) and (H).

- There doesn't seem to be a fast way to zoom in and out. I have to click the magnifying glass and select zoom in or zoom out and then click the canvas. I know it may sound lazy but I tend to use this tool quite a bit in photoshop and in that program all I have to do is select the magnifying glass, click and drag in or out to zoom in/out of where I want. And having to click those couple times can kind of build up in terms of time after a while. That and my patience but I'm working on that second parat

- To pan around the project I don't see a hand tool where i can just push the canvas around. All I've been able to find is a little button on the bottom right side that says pan. And I have to click and drag FROM the bottom right button.



I know these may sounds like really stupid questions or issues but if you can please be patient and try to respond. I'm trying to learn this program and since I'm used to animating on paper the only digital program I've used besides Maya is Photoshop. And if there's anyway to make it work in some aspects to photoshop it would definitely make my learning and productivity much faster.

First: any available command is listed in the online manual (F1) in the appendix and can be customized via preferences > keyboard shortcuts.

Move stuff: either transform tool (ctrl T) for the whole image, or custum brush (B) for just a portion. Repeatedly pressing B gives you marquee, straight line, lasso, and magic wand selection.

Zoom: Buttons 1 and F right side of project window show all pixels / fit into window. > and < zoom in and out.

Pan: press alt, drag with left mouse button.

In my book TVpaint has a navigation in the project window that is far superior to photoshop.
but of course you have to learn it first.
Alt+LMB = Panning the project
Alt+RMB = Zooming the project
Ctrl+Alt+LMB = Rotating the Project

I give you that coming from photoshop then the selection works differently but tplay around with the custom brush keyboard shortcut B.
if you hold down RMB when you cut you will cur out the area instead of copy.
You can then rotate your brush with "C" and scale it with "Z"

by the way if you want to remove a selection you have made with one of the selection tools (I most often use the free hand)
the default keyboard shortcut is shift+backspace

quick 2nd question. Is there a way to undo brush settings changes? I've edited a custom brush but want to revert it back to an older version. Is this possible or no?

ah, sorry must not have explained it well enough. I'm not talking about size/power changes etc.

I right clicked the tool and edited it.

example: Pencil > Edit > Change/Remove commands such as (Grab A color)

It seems to be a kind of actions list that happens after you select the tool. Problem is I managed to remove some custom brush settings my friend had given me and it now no longer does what the tool was supposed to do. I suppose I could just try and re-install the toolbar but if there's a solution to this problem I'd love to know so I can fix this in the future should this happen again.

you have to install the action again i think.

also you can "Duplicate" the toolbar and Rename this new copy (+ close/hide the original) before tweaking the tools to fit your own need,
so you can at any times go back to the original by re-launching the first one.

alternatively, instead of duplicating the whole toolbar, you can select/copy/paste any button (tool) or block of buttons (see pict.),
and that inside the same toolbar, or from one to another, then, edit/rename the new cloned button(s).
