Hello all,

Since yesterday i am a user of TVpaint. Mostly i will use it for my video productions.
But now i try to export my project to a 16:9 AVI or Quicktime, something is going wrong.
TvPaint creates a 4:9 picture.

Can someone tell me how i can export my project to a 16:9 video file?

Greetings,

Gerard Fokker

Hi Gerard, welcome to the TVPaint community !

When you created you file, did you choose a format with a aspect ratio other than 1 ?

If so, I advise you to modify your project with aspect ratio = 1 and with a weidth divided by heigth = 1,7778 (for example, 16000 x 900)

Using aspect ratio is very particular (like the field ! Use only "progressive")

then, the export will be in good quality =)

Hi Elodi, thanks for your responce, i try it but... something goes wrong.

I load a video PAL 16:9 in to TVpaint.
I insert a layer with a titel, and when i try to export it to a PAL DV 16:9, it becomes a 4:9!

I use AVI dv video with interleaved audio, Animation on, convert clip to dv 16:9, preserve proportion on, with 720, height 576, frame rate 25.000,pixel aspect ratio 1.422, correct aspect on and export sound track on.

With this setting a great a good quality picture.... but its a 4:9 picture, How do i get a 16:9

greetings,

Gerard Fokker

Use AVI Uncompressed (BGR24) with PCM codec.

You have several ways to export your project as 16:9 format.

You can export with (you will have black lines at top/bottom):
_ Resolution 720x576
_ Pixel Aspect Ratio 1
_ Correct Aspect CHECK

OR

_ Resolution 720x405
_ Pixel Aspect Ratio 1
_ Correct Aspect UNCHECK

OR

_ Resolution 1024x576
_ Pixel Aspect Ratio 1
_ Correct Aspect UNCHECK

Now, the only way to export and import the file to my Casa ( in a PAL 16:9 project ) with no problem was :
_ Resolution 1024x576
_ Pixel Aspect Ratio 1
_ Correct Aspect UNCHECK
_ format QUICKTIME
_ format config : H.264
But maybe you will have more possibilities.
