Audio - Music in the animation loop

Hi,

I'm still new in this forum. I love cartoon 2d animation, but still a novice. I love Disney style, Looney Tune style and Tom Jerry also. But I never forget Flintstones and Popeye that have made me happy during my younger years.

Kindly help me.

I have created an animation layer with 10 images with 1 image layer (hold) and animate it in a loop.

When I load a music, the music is longer than my animation. It only plays a first few seconds of the music. How do we play music in full while the animation loop is still running? What I mean is the music is also in the loop.

Is there any sort of controlling or merging between these two visual and audio?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Paperscreen.

Sound can be played only if there are images.
Loop, hold, ping-pong don't create images, but only repeat them only if there is an image later.

For example, if you have a layer with 10 images, the second layer with 1 image will be hold until the 10th image of the first layer will be played. Not above.

So if you have an animation with 10 images only, you don't have images enough to hear the music entirely.

and the solution is :
create a "dummy" image layer, and drag forward its right end-handle to make it as long as the soundtrack is long,
then the playback will play all along the entire sound the looping animation.

Hi friends,

Thank you very much.

Elodie - Thanks for your explanation, technically.

ZigOtto - Thanks for your tips. I have tried it. It seems to work and I have to refine it.

I have tried various demos, Toon Boom, Pencil, Synfig, Digicel Flipbook and CTP Pro 9.5 (Germany), all very interesting and unique in it's own way, but still TVP Animation is a very sexy. I love it!
