"linked" indicator

I run into a trap several times when working with linked files recently.
Quicktime on Mac will allow you to drag single frames from any open movie file. These clips will not open in TVP, so I opended them in Photoshop and saved as JPG. Those I imported into TVP, all worked fine, so far. Then I decided to erase the original JPGs, after all I just had imported them ... when I opened the TVP file again, it was blank. Quicktime tricked me (again) with creating a JPG which was only a reference to the original video file!
I didn't expect this from still images, although I knew TVPs behaviour with video files.
So I suggest an indicator in the timeline for imported material which is just referenced to, like videos. As long as that indicator (maybe just a coloured line under the frame miniature) is there, no image information is stored within the TVP file. If that indicator vanishes, I can be sure all image info is safely stored, and I can delete the original video or image clip file.
