cropping increases my file

What have I done wrong?

My original tvp file is 1900 x 1080 px about 500 mb.
After cropping to 1600 x 900 px it increases to 1900 mb.

How can I avoid that?

Cropping a project force to preload all images.

Thank you Hervé.

Is there another better way to do it?

instead of cropping, why don't you use the camera tool ? (set it to 1600 x 900).

Thank you ZigOtto.
Just exporting the camera view is an alternative.
But if I "render the camera to a new project" it increases my file also up to 2 GB.

I agree, it is strange.
A project of 1000x1000 px, with 22 frames, all images, no exposures = 3.06MB
A 16:9 camera render (704x480 px) of the above project = 6.11MB
A CROP (602x412 px) of the above project = 4.80MB

I don't see how preloading all images affect file sizes in such way. All cropped or camera-cropped projects seem to be bigger in file size than the original, although the original is has more pixels (in dimension) in all cases above. If there were dependencies, this would be self-explanatory. But the file I tested with had all frames as individual drawnings.
