Fix for importing DVCPro HD in Windows?

On occasion, I receive files in DVCPro HD (Final Cut format) from my clients.

Using quicktime, these movies display correctly, but when importing through quicktime in TVP, the image is tearing horizontally.

(This is corrected in the quicktime panel by selecting window / show movie properties / presentation / conform aperture to production aperture.)

I can export in Raylight's DVCPro HD format 1080 or 720p to quicktime, just fine! Just importing is showing the tearing.

I don't ever use it, but isn't that one of those interlaced codecs? Try something around fields, I'd suggest.

No it isn't interlaced, it's progressive scan, but not true HD. Some decoding magic is done that stretches it slightly to 720p.
TVP's importer doesn't understand how to handle this format.
