Export PSD

I don't have PhotoShop and have never used it, so here's my question:
I've been told by my client that it would be very helpful if all of the images for one poster could be placed in just one PSD file. Is this possible?
I have made several posters for this client and each layer uses just one frame. If it is possible, how should I go about doing this?

Strange client. I'd prefer to have each image in its own TIFF file. Anyway.
You need to have all images in one frame, but on different layers. In the Export panel, choose the "Layers" tab, then PSD, single frame. That's it.

I think what he means is to have layers kept separated but somehow exported as one file (what we would call Project file). I'm sure he wants the layers separated. Can this be done without owning PhotoShop?

I thought TVP had improved the export of PSDs so that all layers could go together, or was that IMPORT PSD layers so all would load in order?

PSD Can contain Layers, Objects, and folders (without or without FX)..etc
It is not a files package container (for example like .zip or .rar files).
therefor your client is confused or is unaware of the PSD format.
It's best to send your client a .zip or .rar containing all the project files.

Thanks. That's what I have resorted to. I realized that since each layer is just a single frame, what difference does it make.

As an experiment I put four different images on four different layers of the same frame, then clicked Export to... set a path and name.psd and selected the Layers tab. The resulting photoshop psd file had one image with four layers containing the four images.

p.s. Paul: It was this dialog window with all its various output/format options and all the different parameter settings that I was asking about... not configuring and saving projects or creating project templates.
I was hoping there was a way to store all the correct parameters necessary for outputting to a particular file format. Then, if I wanted to output an AVI or a MOV or single or multiple PNGs or a GIF or a PSD etc., I would just reload the appropriate saved parameters file, set the file path and name, and immediately generate the output file or files I wanted.
I think it could just be a new tab added to the "File/Export to..." dialog window: named "Save/Load Parameters".
And if TVPaint included a bunch of predefined options with default parameters for various kinds of Exporting choices, all the better.

Thanks, Sven! I just got confirmation from my client that this is exactly what he wanted. What a show we have here -- so versatile and PS should be none of our business.
Would PS do this for us?
I'll answer you the rest by private e-mail.
