Project window (focus)

Post by leandro »

Hi all,

This is really a minor thing but I always turn off the little F button on the project window. I am not sure what F stands for but might be focus, right?
The thing is that I don't like the project window rearranging every time I open the layer window, I rather the layer window covering the project window. So on every start up of the software I need to go there and click on the little F to turn it off. Is that a way to the software to keep this configuration as default? I am using 9.5, not pro.

Tnx,

With the In line Help turned on, hover your cursor over the F and you will get it's total functionality. I work with it always on.

Tnx Paul,

I've tried this already but the problem is not how to use the button but how to make any change on that permanent (default) for every time I open up the software.

It's odd but many other customizations in the UI are saved in their last state for the next time you open up the software but this one always reset to it's default state which is "on".

nope, F for "Fit"

and yes, the last user's state could be kept (recorded in the config/room file) for his next session,
maybe a little user request ta add to the list .

Yeah that would be a minor but good improvement. The strange thing is that using the pro evaluation version I managed to save the state when copying the room to another room.
But only the copies were recording this FIT config for the next sessions, never the room 1 which is the one the application was starting up.

Well.. let´s wait for it in a possible next update then.
:)

Tnx

yeap, I had experienced the same thing, Fit = OFF setting saved in room2, 3 and 4, but not in Room1.
when I quit on Room2, and re-open tvpa, the Room2/Fit setting is back to ON as well.
so my conclusion is, whatever the room and the setting, starting tvpa force the current Fit state to be ON.

note : I've even tried to edit/modify my config.ini file, by changing the "zoom-autofit=1" lines into "zoom-autofit=0",
it worked for the other rooms, but not for the starting (current) room (Room1 generally).

Since I've found the clickable areas of F and 1 much too small, I've assigned "fit" and "1:1" view to keystrokes. Much faster now.

Cool, I am wandering if there is a config file like that for mac users as well. It's a shame didn't work out thou.
Anyways.. I did a shortcut key for now too.
That helps.

Thanx anyway guys.
