I'm testing out the Demo version of tvp 9 pro.

Let's say I have animated something on 2's or have several images on even longer exposures.
Is there a way I can easily flip between images without having to tap the keyboard several times seeing only copies of the same images?

I could always bookmark every other frame, but then I would have to use other keys to flip between the selected drawings. is there a way to let the app ignore the copies so I can easily flip trough it using the same button as regular flipping (good for a wacom tablet with limited amount of buttons) (Like it's done in Plastic Animation Paper for example )

Use the Instance Panel or assign commands Instance Panel: PrevCel and :NextCel to any key you wish. Hit Ctrl K to acces the key commands panel or go to Edit, Keyboard Shorts, Configure.

I also coulden't figure out what the Next/previous key (keyboard shortcut: page-up/down) button does. Nothing happens when I click it.

You can assign your own command's to keyboard keys under 'ctrl-k' (if I understand you correctly...)

It's a bit confusing but TVP uses the defintion 'key" for effects that you can assign (in the FX panel) to 'instances'. An 'instance' in TVP is what a new cel or new sheet of animation paper would be in the old days.

You can assign multiple bookmarks (ctrl-shft-up= bookmarks toggle) and you can flip through you bookmarks using ctrl-shft-arrows. Or do you mean that you want to give certain frames a different color...?

Maybe this is what you are looking for: If you LMB on the tiny hand directly under the preview window and drag, all the frames will play back and the play head will return to its starting position. If you just RMB click on the hand, the amount of frames you set in the Preview Settings Panel under Flip Book will play back. To open this panel, LMB click on top of the Proxy window of TVP's main toolbar (at the very top of your screen). I keep this panel open at all times and adjust the parameters within, according to what I am currently doing in any given project.

about your first question, I 'm not sure to get exactly what's your workflow ... do you want to flip instances but skipping some of them (like inbetweens) ...?
if you want to flip between timed consecutive AnimKeys (Instances with exposures), you can use Exposure:Next/Prev couple of shortcuts as mentioned by Paul above, then, you can break&clear into exposures for adding/drawing inbetweens .
if you want to flip between bookmarks, you can use Bookmark:Prev/Next shortcuts (don't think the're existing by default),
and if you want to use the same shortcuts for flipping Instances or Bookmarks, you may go, pick and install the excellent FlipBin panel from Madjuul there in the content sharing section (flipbin.tvpx file in the last post).

Next/Previous Key are refering to keyframable FX, and YES, as alternative, you can use these FX-keys as markers to flip within selected (discontinuous) frames, exemple :
- assign [K] as shortkey for Layer:Create Key, (to "mark" your selected cells)
- open the FXstack and add a dummy FX, such as Color/Image Source,
- go on your first image, and hit K (creating a Key),
- go on frame 8 and hit K again, and so on frame 16, 20, ...
- then, using the PageUp/PageDown shortkeys, you will be able to flip between frames 1, 8, 16, 20, ...

The link to Mads Juhl's "FlipBin panel" was exactly what I've needed!
(Now I can use the same flipping-worklow as I used in PlasticAnimationPaper)
