exportation psd

Hello la team / Hello zeu team!

Is it possible to export with tvp 9 an animation into 1 single psd for which every tvp image will be converted to a layer of the same psd?
(To keep it simple i only want to export one merged layer from the tvp timeline)

Great thx forwardly! :)
Don

ps: sorry if this subject has already been discussed.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks for translating your post in English ;-)

If there is an English answer, I will let this post here. If nobody answer you, I will move this topic in the French forum =)

Thx Elodie ! ^^

Well, i've been searching for months (years?) how to make anime-alike animations.

I worked for years on paper. Than i felt in love with my Intuos4 Medium ...

For going paperless and after testing a lot I bought Toon Boom Animate Pro. Great soft in many ways. But it lacks HARDLY of efficiency for one single thing: the vectorial inking. (sorry this is only my thought. I don't want to hurt people feelings about that soft. ^^ )

Meanwhile i tried out Manga Studio that makes beautiful vectorial inking but is, like you maybe know, not an animation software. There is of course Retas but... too pricy and not updated. (I already spoke about it here a long time ago )

So i made tests by exporting from Manga Studio into vector in Toon Boom Animate Pro. And the result is absolutely beautiful.

So i am searching now for a software that i can use to make my ruff sketches and check the animation with. ( For me, TVP is the best to achieve this. I love the pencil drawing with your soft! Feels just real!). That way, i would export from tvpaint (psd) into Manga Studio.
Don't ask me why but importing other formats than psd into Manga Studio is just ...painful!

But like i was afraid of, the export will be in single psd files for each layer. That's a pity. -_-
Guys if you can fix that, i buy TVP before New Year! Of course if i am the only one on earth waiting for that... There will be no real motivation to achieve that! ^^;

(You guys may think i'm crazy working with so much softwares when each of them could achieve a good result because it's not the software that matters but the skills... Well okay... Maybe! ;) )

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Désolé, j'ai la flemme de traduire en français, mais si vous avec plus de visiteurs frenchie, je continuerai dans la langue de Voltaire :)

Piggybacking this post:

I've tried in vain to export a (single frame) PSD file from TVP which had layers in it. All I got was a PSD file with just one flattened layer. Is there no way to export a PSD from TVP which contains all layers with their transparencies?

for a single frame, Export to ... Layers/PSD works fine here, respecting transparencies and layer's blending mode.

Sorry for the delay, I got ill.

Yes, it works. I just hadn't seen that small "Layers" tab in the export panel. Select this, then you have the choice between sequence and single image, and PSD and TVP file. I haven't tested this with layers which have transfer modes different from the Photoshop ones, so expect some tweaking there, or test yourself.

Helleu back!

I exported a few times a tvpaint project as psd (with several layers), but had to conclude that there must be some kind of bug with it.

=> Sometimes i have a multiple layered psd file by checking 'single layer' and in other cases i get a single layered psd by checking 'sequence'.

Keep up the good work! :)

Are you exporting in the clip tab or in the layer tab ?

That could be the problem. I made the parameter changes in the layer tab, but i didn't really watched out to export in a specific tab. ^^;

I suppose that i have to try to export in the layer tab?

Thx for the fast feedback!

Just to say that exporting in the layer tab solved my problem.

Thx Fabrice. ^^
