I just installed 9.5.4 and for some reason now when I store some color as background and exit TVPaint, that color for the background isn't remembered, as it used to be. On startup my background color defaults back to white. Has this been changed? Is there somewhere new I need to set the default background color now? Anyone able to confirm this behavior?

it could be a little bug ... but not so terrible, I even forgot to report it .
