i'd love some quick advice-
i'm setting up on at a studio and the question has come up- do i A) use my laptop with their cintiq, or B) re-install TVP on their more powerful and larger computer with my lock code/unlock code and re-import all my preferences and key maps? both doable? is 'B' relatively easy?

I have TVP installed on 2 different machines: in case of emergency, and for testing new versions without trouble. Of course I have only 1 dongle, so I can only run TVP on one machine at a time. Works without any problem, I only have to set the scratch disk path after every machine change because this info is stored in the dongle, surprisingly. (Would prefer this to be changed!)

thanks, it seems to work! however i'm not familiar with the scratch disk, so i'll have to look into that and see how much i understand.

Hmmm it's strange because the paths are not stored in the dongle.

Then it is indeed strange. Hm ... one machine is connected to the other via file sharing, could TVP possibly read its prefs from that?

I will test this later, when I can afford the time to switch off machines ... right now there's another film to be finished today!
