I run Windows Server 2003 Enterprise 32bit on an IBM Z Pro 6223 with dual 3.6 Xeons with 8 GB RAM.
I have a temp file for TVPaint on a 3.9 GB RamDisk, created with SuperSpeed RamDisk. Ran perfectly for years.
Today I put the whole system pagefile on the ramdisk only, and moved the TVPaint temp file to a hard disk,
thinking that TVPaint will not use it, as it has enough memory on the sytem pagefile.
It seems to be the case, and it actually appears to run a little bit faster yet.
Please comment on using the ramdisk for TVPaint for a temp file versus using it for a pagefile.
Thank you,
