Shortcut key for field chart?

I didn't want to dig up
another old thread, but where is the keyboard shortcut assignment for
Display: Show FieldChart?
It's missing from the list. Page A-10 of the TVP manual says there is such a command:
Code: Select all
Display: Show SafeArea
Display: Show FieldChart
Display: Show Stencil
Display: Show Selection
Display: Show Paper
I'm on TVP Standard 9.0.5, WinXP. Is my installation glitched, or is the command really not there?

I donno, ... probably missing in the standard version
but you can "workaround" easily by making yourself a Custom Button
(...set Keystroke > Display: Show FieldChart),
then assign it to one of your still free shortkey.

Thanks for your help, but that's exactly the problem... the command isn't there...
I really hope this extremely basic feature isn't Pro-only!
(Yes, I've just checked TVP 9 Pro demo -- the command IS there...)

so, it seems it's definitively a standard version's limitation.
I'm curious, why do you need this ?
an other "workaround" consist to mimic the 12field guidechart with a grid and appropriated settings :
f.i., for a 1920x1080 project, set your grid X and Y offset = 0, Width=1920/24=
80, Height=1080/24=
45,
and draw on a overlay (alf-transparent) imagelayer a diagonal-cross to target the center.
I had an old script to draw a 12field Animchart on its own layer,
but I'm afraid I've deleted it because becoming useless ...
edit: oups, I was talking about "AnimField" and not "FieldChart", anyway, you should be able to create/draw it on a separated ImageLayer, save your project apart, with nothing more than this layer, so you will be able to re-load it as "template" project later.

Edit: Oops again (ignore the below message...)
You're right, I was referring to the Animator Field. I guess there isn't a shortcut for that in both the Standard nor Pro versions. Not a big deal
just a very, very minor inconvenience.
Oops, I think I need to clarify my explanation...
I can get to the Field Chart in the Project window, using the Display drop-down menu and selecting Field Chart. I just wanted to be able to toggle the Field Chart with a shortcut key. Maybe the programmers accidentally commented out that key in the source code when compiling for the Standard version? The functionality is there... it's just that the shortcut command isn't
Maybe I found a bug in TVP Standard.
I still shoot some of my rough animation (10 or 12 FLD, on paper) using a video camera and wanted to make sure that matched stuff going on in the digital side (backgrounds and such). I guess I'm just too used to the field chart as a general-purpose grid.. old habits, old habits...

Field Chart and Safe Area are both so basic functions in most drawing and illustrating packages, shocked that it would be left out of Standard edition. Seems like it would have taken more effort to remove it from Standard version when the Standard/Pro versions were unveiled. IMHO!
Open Windows-Display Settings.. do you have option to adjust Safe Area settings? The FieldChart option toggle is at the bottom with associated settings
I just created keyboard shortcut to assign Safe Areas AND FieldChart to my '\' key.
