hi all-
can anyone tell me where and how exactly to add some .dip paper textures from mirage into TVP? i know where to find them in mirage, but i don't know where they need to go in tvp; i haven't been able to locate the tvp papers by searching my system. i have tvp 8.6.2.
thanks,
charlie

Hi Charlie,
Go into your applications folder and right-click (control-click) on TVPaint and select "Show Package Contents" in the pop-up menu. Double-click the Contents folder, then the Resources folder and you'll find your Papers folder. Simply drag & drop (or copy) your Mirage papers into this folder. You could color-code the new paper files in advance if you'd like to differentiate between default and added papers.
Then, just launch TVP and open the papers panel and you will see all your additional papers.

thanks for that; looking into it now.
turns out there is an additional issue someone might shed some light on- the collection of paper .dips i was going to drop into tvp doesn't have all the ones that i've put in mirage. and- i don't know where to find them all in mirage after all. i control click on the mirage app icon, and the only place i find papers are in contents>resources>default config>papers and there are only the standard ones in there; not all the extras i rounded up. so- where else do they live in mirage?
if do have a lot of paper jpg's i was given, but can those be converted to a usable format?
thanks again!

i don't seem to remember the paper texture jpgs tiling correctly in mirage, but i dropped one into tvp and they seem to work fine, so perhaps they are in a usable format as is.

Hi,
Both TVP and Mirage are using the .dip format for the papers. So you have just t search the *.dip with the windows search tool.
Btw, you can load any image in TVP and add it as a paper by using the RMB in the paper panel. ( "create a new paper" option )
