crop tool blurs image in mirage? love a quick reply!

still working in mirage here-

anyone know about the crop tool blurring/degrading the image? i'm pieces of art in a large mir file, then cropping the smaller pieces for later use. but the crop tool degrades/blurs my art substantially. haven't set up tvpaint yet, but i have it so i'll see if it's different.

well, it's a bit moot, thankfully, as it doesn't happen in tvp, so whatever it is i won't have to deal with it when i switch over to tvp completely.

could this be a fielding issue? sometimes it seems my file is automatically a 'fields: lower" or sometimes "progressive". i try to keep track and keep them 'progressive, but i can't say i know the impact of these settings.

tech support or anyone?

The images you posted, are they from TvP or from Mirage?

it seems this appear only when your current project is fielded. You should work in progressive project and export with fields if your really need it.

i quickly hunted around and couldn't find the exact issues, but in the process of quiting and reopening tvp and mirage, i was able to crop without the blur. (!) strange, i think i always choose progressive, but somehow i save them as lower fields. i notice both programs open in whatever state you left them in, and then when you open another file you risk mixing the settings, i guess.
Malcooning- the original was done in mirage.
