Something I just found out about TVP9:

You can stretch out a frame into any desired length of instances, right click and select Set the Faux-Fixe Value... to make a popup appear in which you enter any number of frames and those frames will loop within the instance frames. Perfect for boiling FX!

Another pleasant suprise after upgrading to TVP 9! As someone who likes to boil, I have been wanting this feature forever, and here it is. This made my day when I found out.
