Shortcut for animator disk

Hello all,

I'm new here. I've only discovered TVPaint recently and I must say, for the most part, I'm very impressed with the software. There are a few weird things about its GUI that take getting use to, but I'm learning. The one thing that I'm trying to wrap my head around is trying to find a shortcut for the animation disk. Is there one? I see that you can make shortcuts for rotating in 15 degree increments, but I don't see that you can make a shortcut for free movement of the disk, like what you have when you click on the rotate disk button. Thanks.

You can use ctrl+Alt with LMB to rotate your canvas.

btw, use Alt+LMB to move your canvas and Alt + RMB to Zoom.

If you don't mind using the 15 degree increments the following method works very well I have found --

Peter Wassink showed me a great way to control the virtual animation disc : Program the rotation commands to a Griffin Powermate controller . Rotating the disc is a simple matter of reaching for the Griffin Powermate wheel , which you can do without taking your eyes off the drawing , so it's very simple to reach over and give it a slight turn to rotate the drawing . Other types of controllers will work too.

I have my rotate disc commands set to Rotate Counter-Clockwise = Shift+ Page Up , Rotate Clockwise = Shift+Page Down, Reset= Shift+7
)You can customize your key shortcuts in TVP Preferences ).

The same commands can be programmed to the Wacom Intous 3 or Cintiq Touchstrips or the other buttons on the Wacom tablet .

Thanks D.T.

That is a cool tip. I do have a powermate. But the Alt+Ctrl+left-click works perfect for me with my wacom pen. I do think I will plug in my powermate and use it for scrubbing/flipping though. Thanks! :D
