How do I get back to a normal anim layer?

This new system of anim layers is a bit too confusing for me at times. Before I find the time in my neurotic schedule (I'm falling behind

)to completely understand how this all works, could someone please tell me how to break away from its stranglehold and turn the layer,
without losing all its drawings, into a plain anim layer as I'm used to from Mirage?

- select all frames + Break (hit the (on yellow) button from the Instance panel) => old Mirage AnimLayer,
- select all frames + Recompute (hit the [R] button from the Instance panel) => return to Instances (with exposures) TVPA AnimLayer,

But that doesn't seem to completely do it. For instance, when I use the panning tool..... aha! I had the panning tool set to "warp", which made me think I'm dragging the previous frame along, something that made it look like the new anim layer behavior.
Now I NEVER use warp but use Shift all the time. This is a change of setting I could have not possibly made myself. Something looks fishy to me now; why did my subpixel suddenly turn off all by itself? Why did my panning tool switch from Shift to Warp all by itself? How did my Pen tool switch from Color to Erase all by itself? What's going on here?

take it easy Paul, one thing after the other ...
you was talking of "new system of anim layers", and my answer was treating that aspect,
now you are raising some other troubles concerning tools parameters, so, here's my answer for the first one :
when I use the panning tool..... aha! I had the panning tool set to "warp", which made me think I'm dragging the previous frame along, something that made it look like the new anim layer behavior.
Now I NEVER use warp but use Shift all the time
panning tool have been set "by default" to "Warp" mode, because non-destructive (Peter asked for that).
though, I agree with you : the last user's setting (Shift mode in your case) should be recorded in the config file,
but it seems not to be, so at your next launch, the default "warp" mode is still coming up.
For now, this work-around should work (the beauty of the custom panel use

) :
forget the panning tool from the main tool panel, and make yourself a panning tool like on the picture below.
I let others answer to your other nuisances ...

Thank you Raymond.
Peter, stand in the corner till the bell rings.

Ding!
i use the panning tool mainly for spacing purposes.
by having it in warp mode i can freely use it without having to worry about losing any parts of the artwork.
but in shift mode any piece of drawing that is moved over the project border is lost after you release the tool.
getting rid off the surplus material after the 'warp-panning' is easy (thanks to the freehandfill and enter key)

I'm different. (But I'll give it a try.)

Woa (or Hoa?) You are correct, Peter! Only in cases when I need to shift a page filled with lines would I prefer to use Shift, but it seems that in most cases Warp (shouldn't it be Wrap?) is what I'll be using.

This is a long story, just as the "Wrapping Grid FX" should be a "Warping [Grid] FX" ...
If everybody complains it may get fixed

Is this a little French revolt against the anglophone bed of users?
