EPSON GT15000 question...

hello ppl
we just bought a new scanner the Epson GT15000 A3
we are currently using it in a windows vista machine with the USB
(not scsi yet...)
but once the twain source has been selected and the aquisition of the image has been made (in a new layer or appending to a current layer)
the twain gui closes and we have to reselect Aquire image and then repress the scan button to continue scanning..
It is not a real issue but it is a bit annoying..
i compensated creating an action for the "aquire image" command..

With the twain of another dx7000 epson or an older Plustek A3U i had not enountered this problem...the twain gui remains open after each image is scanned...

Any ideas?

thanks
J.

This has something to do with your driver.

Look in every 'corner' (popups, tabs, etc...) of the interface if there
isn't something to check to keep the interface open.
It has certainly a name which has to do with 'multiple page' scanning.

ematecki thanks for the answer but i cant find anything at all that
has this description (multipla page or similar)
as a sidenote i want to add that in Photoshop the epson twain doesnt
quit but i justs keeps open and i can scan multiple pages directly...

not with the same scanner, but here's how I go :
- firstly, in tvpa I choose the acquire Option (create new project/create new layer/append to current layer),
- then Acquire/ your scanner, to open the scanner interface,
when I multi-scan drawings, once the drawing scanned, the scanner interface switches back,
when hitting the Acquire shorkey, it switches front, over tvpa window, keeping all the settings.
