Novice problem

Hi, I was blissfully TVPainting away and then something bad happened. I was using the blue animator pencil. I then went and played with the pencils in the "Custom Panels > Tool Bin" window. When I went back to my trusty blue animator pencil, it was all faint and weak and screwy. I don't know what the original settings for this pen were and nothing seems to get it back to the glorious way it was. Situation: Perturbed. Please help. I apologize for being so new. It's my second day. Thanks.

Don't sweat it, everybody's new at one time or another.

Make sure that your blue pencil is selected. Now go to your Tools palette. This is the palette where you adjust the properties of the tool. Make sure the "Options" tab is front and there's a "reset" button on the bottom of the palette. Click that reset button and you should get things back.

If all else fails, see if a quit and restart of TVPaint solves this.

Thanks for your advice, but I already did both of those things and my little blue friend is still all weak and fuzzy

Hi k00kla,
Some custom panel are using paper. So I think this kind of funny result is caused by an active paper. See the main button bar and unactive paper.

This should solved your problem.

Patrice, to prevent this problem maybe a 'switch off paper' should be added as a first command in all custom panel drawing tools that are included in tvp?
(suggestion for the next version?)

Peter, I think this will be added in a future version to prevent this kind of problem but I don't know when.

That was it

That's solved it. It was the custom paper. Thanks so much!!
