Installation problems on new laptop

Post by cbandla »

I'm a TV Paint standard user who has just bought a refurbished Dell Inspiron running Vista Home Premium to use in my teaching job. I've installed TV Paint from my original disc (version 8.0) and have been trying to bring it up to the most recent version of 8.5. I've downloaded the "TVPaintAnimation859_STD" archive and run the updater but TV Paint still loads as 8.0.

I've been working with Mac OSX most of the time, so I'm sure the problem lies with some error in installation I'm making. Can you suggest any thing to help me?

Hi Charles,

Simply uninstall the 8.0 version from your system and then install the 8.5.9. It should work. (and you will not loose your old configuration :) )

Unfortunalety, windows Vista is not so easy to use as the Mac OS ...

Please let me know if everything worked fine.
