Hii, I’ve been encountering some issues with TVPaint and wanted to check if anyone else has experienced similar problems or has suggestions.

Auto Save: Sometimes the auto save function gives errors or fails to auto save altogether. This has led to a few data loss situations, especially during longer sessions.
Crashes with Larger Files: The software occasionally crashes when working on files larger than 25MB. Interestingly, some larger files work fine, but most crashes seem to happen under these specific conditions:
1.Duplicating folders and especially when they have some layers on different modes (Normal, Multiply).
2.Applying a CTG Layer to folders or more than a 4 layers.

3.Also I don't know if this is supposed to happen, but the Camera Layers comes up even after I delete it.

This has happened on a few different files. It works fine after I reopen it.

I tried reproducing them, it crashes for 2-3 times out of 10. They mostly happen after a while and on a heavier file, though not sure what size is considered heavy.
I have worked with 100mb files on 11.7 with CTG and had almost no crashes, that too on a 6 year old MacBook

Using a Mac Mini m4 Pro and latest TVPaint Pro 12.03

A common source of difficulties is using external volumes for Autosave as well as normal save. Could you check these first?

Hii, I don't use external/ multiple volumes.

Hello, TVPaint 11 doesn't have a folder system so the issue could be exclusive to v12 indeed.
Could you try giving TVPaint full disk access via the Mac's system settings and check if the autosave works better this way?
Regarding the Camera Layer, does it reappear out of nowhere or when you click the Camera tool (which would be the expected behavior)?

Hii Dean, the autosave does work 90% of the time. However, I have also given TvPaint full disk access manually now, hopefully that solves the rare errors on that end. The camera layer reappears out of nowhere and especially after I reopen TVPaint or switch between projects.
