multisave error

Hi, after saving my file i no longer can open it.

my multi backup was set to 2

i just saved my file, this seemingly went fine.
But less then a minute later tvpaint crashed. it think it might have been caused by the memory which was fully used or my hardrive that was pretty full ( or both)

i was working from my laptop (which i normally don't do... thats why, i wasn't aware of the memory situation)
But now i cannot open the file that i just saved anymore.

when i look in the multibackup folder i see not two earlier versions but there are three files.
one of them has the save time of the last save but is somehow zero bytes

the saved file is only half the size it should be and is corrupted as i can not load it.
i worked on a bit in the first half of this file, do you have any tips how to salvage my work?

Hello Peter, TVPaint crashing during a save is a very rare occurence that we have only seen a few times and IIRC it was due to a lack of disk space or operating system settings preventing TVPaint from writing data on the disk every time I was notified about this.
If your latest save only fest an incomplete temp file, sadly there is not much you can do to retrieve this data.

Thanks Dean for responding.

The file doesn't look like a temp file... its correctly named and looks like a normal *.tvpp file
its just that the size is half ...only 176 MB instead of 395 MB

it starts loading normally but at about 60% tvpaint crashes.

it has many layers, 86 and is about 1000 frames long.

So this file doesn't appear on the screenshot you posted?
You could try sending it to me via PM so we can try to save some of its content.
