where is the lighttable panel?

TVPaint v12.02 will not show the LT panel when i click on the LT button in the menu bar.

i click repeatedly to see if i see it flashing on/of somewhere.... but nothing, it must be hidden somewhere?
i know that i probably should reset the config again. but could this please be fixed?
so that a hidden panel shifts into view when you repeatedly click it.
or get rid of the floating panels. they are of little use, i'm curious is there anyone that uses this?
because the one panel that would actually be usefull, the project panel, can at this point not yet be moved.

for me this constant issue with lost/hidden panels makes them a bigger headache then a benefit.

Hey Peter, if you use multiple screens, there is a chance it's off screen and behind something else. Especially when resetting or on a new config I find this happens for me when first opening panels, that I have to sometimes minimize TVPaint and bring it up again and mess around to find them. I personally really love the floating panels as they allow me to use multiple screens with my timeline etc. off on one. I had a roundabout way of doing in v11 with stretching the whole interface across two screens but not all the way, but it was finnicky to say the least. The floating panels are a bit buggy though, I think it has something to with the display/monitors not refreshing properly at times, as I've had some similar bugs with just my canvas.

These options below require a restart, but they also help without an entire reset of your config.

First, if you use multiple monitors is under Interface > Panels > multi-screen panels, if you turn this off and restart it should bring them all to your main scree.

Alternatively, under that there is an option for "Panels in the taskbar" just below the above option, which will put all your panels with a separate taskbar icon under the main TVpaint taskbar icon, this allows you to literally go through each panel one at a time to isolate it.

Lastly, you can use the "Reset Base Panels" button underneath that, which should put them to their default position, and you might have to toggle them on/off again, as they seem to behave strangely on first use.

Thank you Kelan!

i also used to stretch out the panel over multiple monitors before and that certainly has its drawbacks.
I'll try your suggestions.

i'd like to to upgrade this issue from minor annoyance to major bug status!

i just had to close tvpaint and loose work because i could not find where the custompanelexportpanel was and tvpaint remained in greyed out modus
i could not get out using escape...
So i was forced to close tvpaint, without the panel that was hidden somewhere ever showing up.

Sorry if I wasn't clear Peter, it's under Preferences > Interface > Panels and they are the last 3 boxes/buttons. I do use windows only, so I'm not sure how the taskbar operates on Mac, so maybe with regards to that one, but I believe the other options should be available on Mac.

Did you look at the config.ini?
As a last resort (before using a new config), you can look for the settings of the panels and the coordinates are in this format -> winx=xxx and winy=xxx
Don't forget to close TVPaint before doing this.
