TVPaint 11 keeps crashing

Hi, I recently got a new machine and installed the latest version of TVPaint (11.7.2)
It keeps crashing. Like frequently. The program just goes away then I get a pop-up that says TVPaint Animation 11 quit unexpectedly.

I have the error report here if you need it but here's my setup:

Apple M2 Max, 12 core
OS: Sonoma 14.3.1
32 GB memory
Cintiq Pro 24

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Oh, that's interesting, I've got a nearly identical configuration, but still on Ventura. I should test a bit.

Could you be more exact about when it crashes? Someone else mentioned working in 4K.

Hi slowtiger. It's hard to tell. I was drawing for a long time yesterday and it crashed maybe 3 times. Today I'm working on the same document and it's now crashing every couple of minutes. So much that I've given up right now
I copied one of the crash reports here... don't know if that will help?

Hello Gerhard, is this is the very first TVPaint install you have on this new computer? Or did it have 11.7.1 before?

Hi Dean,

Yes it's the first install. It's a new machine so I downloaded the new version from my downloads page.
Remember you helped me to get my licence to work? I first tried doing a migration via Timemachine but then decided to wipe the whole thing and do a fresh install.

So yes this is the first version I'm running on this OS

Hi guys, is there anything I can try on this? Maybe install the previous version like you suggested for someone else? It's becoming quite urgent... I keep having to redo stuff over and over and over. It's killing me

Is there a server I can still get V 11.7.1 from?

Quick question about these crashes: do you use TVPaint in fullscreen mode in general?

Sorry Dean I missed that last post of yours. I use it as a normal floating window on my Cintiq display. Not fullscreen (If I go fullscreen I can't find the top menu...)
but also just an update. It's been a couple of days now since I went back to 11.7.1 and it hasn't crashed again... so looks like this one is stable.

I am having the same issue. I have a Macbook pro M1 Max and also use a Cintiq (27 pro).
11.7.2 and 11.7.3 both crash randomly, but 11.7.1 is stable for me.

Having the same problem as well. I'm still finding this version like the previous crashes TVPaint after about 15 min of use. Version 11.7.1 works fine. I'm on a Mac studio M2 64 Sonoma. All Wacom drivers up to date. Any fix or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again!

I'm having the same issue as well, on a Mac M1 Ultra, Sonoma, with regular crashing 11.7.2 and 11.7.3. Can't really pinpoint any action that causes the crash, I'm usually just drawing. Using a Cintiq Pro 24 with the latest drivers.
