color group

Post by Tsuchida »

In tvpaint 11.53, I want to save the color group settings as default, but the menu to save as default group is gone.
Is there any way to handle this?

In the Color Groups panel click on List , then Edit , in the Edit panel click Options, Export.

Well, that's not the same as "save as default"... You have to import these settings every time you open TVPaint. Or did I miss something?
(for me being able to save as default is a big request for the TVP team :D )

Indeed you are correct. Save As Default Group option has disappeared over time. I'm not sure why or when that option was removed.

TVPaint

I was wondering if you could help me with the blurring of pixels when rotating a TVPaint image.
I have contacted Antoine about the contract, but have not received a reply.
I would appreciate it if you could reply to my inquiry.

You will probably get a faster response by creating a new Tech Support topic for your specific issue rather than burying it in an entirely different topic (Color Group).

I'm not sure what email address you are using , but if you use the general Contact Us form on the website it will get to the Tech Support team.

Which version of TVPaint are you using? Recent update 11.7.1 has somewhat improved the blurred pixels from multiple transformations issue.
Make sure you are updated to 11.7.1 .

Also , you can use FX Stack > Color > Curves > Alpha to add some sharpness back into the line if it has been blurred.

OR use the drawing blend mode SHARP. See this little demo I made of using SHARP blend mode.

Hello Tsuchida, David perfectly summed up what you can try to mitigate the transformation quality loss.
Antoine is currently on a business trip and his response time might be extended.

On October 5, I sent one important document to Antoine as an email attachment.
I have not heard any explanation that he will not be able to respond for a long time.
I would like to have that requirement addressed urgently.

Hello, Antoine is still travelling at the moment so I will be answering on his behalf: if I remember correctly, the document was about image quality loss during transformations?
I saw that you are in the process of being included in the TVPaint Beta Test, once you gain access to the next version's beta, you will be able to see what we have implemented to mitigate quality loss due to transformation.

I have been waiting a month for a reply to my inquiry about the images and about the beta test.
Please let me communicate with more than one person so that the requirements do not stop even if the person who will respond in the future takes a break.

We would like to use the beta test, so could you please give us the information about it?

Hello, our contact form is always available if you have an urgent request, however we have a limited of fluent Japanese speakers, so you would have to write in English.
Your beta license is in the process of being created, including new beta testers takes time because of NDAs and other legal tasks on our side.
