I am working now in a studio on TVP 11.5.3, Windows 10, and TVPaint always crashes when computer goes to sleep. I had to disable the sleep-mode completely, but it's not a solution - just a workaround... is it something known? it doesn't seem to happen on other machines though...

Happens to me too since updating to ver 11.5.3. Im also using Win10 on a MobileStudio Pro 16.
Ive found TVP 11 to run less reliably than TVP 10 in general but now after the latest update it crashes litterly every time I turn the computer to sleep mode. Very irritating.

Hello, according to our investigations it seems to be linked to Codemeter more than TVPaint. WIBU is currently working on fixing this, in the meantime we can only suggest that you close TVPaint completely if it's going to stay unused for a long time.

Yes, it's not related to TVPaint itself but the security implementation.

I ended up sticking with 11.5.1 because of this. Here is to hoping 11.7 fixes this issue!

Just checking in on this, April of 2023. Any news regarding whether this program can safely go to sleep? I don't always know I am walking away from my computer for long enough that it will go to sleep, but I know that if it has when I return TVP will have shut down. I am using TVP 11.7.1. Thanks for any insights!

I'm running TVPaint 11.7.1 on macOS 12.6.2 (so if you are on Windows , you may have different results).

As an experiment just now I had TVPaint open , then I purposely put my computer to sleep . I went away to do something else for about 20 minutes.
When I returned to my computer, I woke it up from sleep mode and TVPaint 11.7.1 was still open.

Hello TVPUSER, this issue was resolved with v11.7.0, we haven't received any ticket saying that it has reappeared since this release.

Hi, do you get "license error" prompt upon waking the computer up? If not, the issue might be different from what we got last time.

No. TVPaint will just shut down and no longer be open, and even if I save my project before my computer sleeps, when I restart TVP it will open up with a different file (the last project saved upon proper shut down but not the most current file) (I have chosen the option to startup TVP with my last saved project), so it is losing some information in the sleep shutdown.

My projects are saving properly, they're just not automatically opening upon start up.

One more thing, if I walk away without saving and am gone longer than expected so my computer goes to sleep (phone call, studio visitor etc.), TVPaint will shut down and I will definitely lose that work. I know the solution is to save constantly, but would love any solution for this. Thank you!

Interesting, just to be sure: does the computer go in full hibernation or is it just like the screensaver activating?

I do not need to re-type my password but I don't know if that means partial or full hibernation, but that being said, no other programs close, everything else will still be on my screen, sometimes even TVPaint Converter! The only program that is gone when I wake up my computer is TVPaint.
