Hi all,
I'm on a galaxy tab s7+ with android 11 and most recent tvpaint version 11.5.3.
I'm experiencing frequent crashes when using the straight line tool. It seems to happen while I am still holding the thin preview line to find the right place to release. The preview gets quite laggy and then the app crashes.

As a test, I also tried the following embedded george script to see if the problem was really to do with that preview overlay:
Using this also triggers the crash.

I've tried clearing the cache and am using the default config that comes with tvpaint. The problem persists.

Can anyone else confirm this behaviour?
TVPaint team any advice?

Hi,

I use tab s7+ no same error. Before using tvpain in samsung device you have to turn off power saving(sometimes it kills too hungry programs).

Also i add "lock this app"

It might help a bit. Also dont work whit big tvpaint files or multiplle files.

Also tvpaint android is not so stable as desktop version. It’s posibale to use it as line test or for line art. Any difical task might crash.

Thanks Tylos, it's true that sometimes a reboot may help, especially on Android.

In a general way, TVPaint 11 seems to have issues with the standby mode : issues were reported on Windows too.

I don't expect miracles from the Android version but figured it's good to have a record of bugs that can be easily reproduced (at least on my end...).

If I can reproduce it, then I can fix it !

I also manege to get lagy line and crash. But not shure what triger what. As TVpaint was just opened whit lagy line and whit ok line. Also after crash I get samsung warning of TVPAINT using to much baterry.

more setings to optimize TVpaint and turn of batery optimizations.

Nice! Thanks for the link. I haven't seen that warning from Samsung but I will try all these battery-related optimizations anyway.
