Texts

Post by Animationriver »

Hello? developers! :D
I took on a very interesting project. He is big.
And there is a lot of text and visual documents in there.
I use twpaint a lot.
Question to the developers:
When can I expect a new and smart system for working with FONTS? Work with texts. Works with line breaks and text editing within the project. Working with paragraphs ....
Now this part is the weakest and most limited in my opinion.
Thanks.

Usually I don't work with text in TVP at all, I add it later in Moho or FinalCut since it's a part which gets changed often (language versions ect).

My rule of thumb:
If it's just 1 word I use the text tool in TVPaint (and only if it recognizes the font I need).
If it's 1 to 4 lines I use Photoshop: good text tools, all fonts.
Anything bigger: Indesign (or Affinity Publisher), best for text, fine typography tools. You can easily set up a template for screen size.

Export as PNG with transparency.

I do that too. I use photoshop and illustrator. But I need to quickly and in a tv paint.
I just asked. Are the developers interested in expanding the functionality and is it in the plans?
Thanks!
