Hi all,
We are proud to present you our new update. This 8.5 update is totally free for all TVP Animation and TVP Animation Pro owners.
For the moment only the trial versions are available. The commercial version won't be available before Wednesday, May 30th 2007.

This update contains a lot of improvements that you can see on this special page.
Now you are able to update the software by one simple clic into the Main menu.
A powerful new layer engine for timing as been implemented but I let you try it and all the new features. Download the trial here.

For this special event, we have also released a new website. It will allow you to update your version by filling in a small form also on next Wednesday. Stay tuned

Should current TVPaint users install the demo as a "modify" or "repair" installation? Will I lose all my custom brushes and all that stuff? It doesn't give me the option to install it to a new directory.

Hi David,
When uninstalling a TVP Animation, the installer does not delete user files (like the most part of software. So your personal config won't be deleted if you uninstall TVP Animation 8.1 and you install TVP Animation 8.5.
If you have created some action button on the "Tool Bin" custom panel you should export it cause it will be deleted at the next reset of the config (reset button is on the startup panel).

in the improvements list of your "special page", you could add, in the Miscellaneous chapter,
the ability to straightforwardly create/add a new paper from the project's display,
(Right-Click in the Paper panel).

hi. can someone tell me the difference between TVP Animation 8.5 and TVP Animation Pro 8.5 ? ( except the price of course )
I'm really interested in the new exposure system in the timeline, i have been waiting for something like this for a long time. Is this feature availiable in both versions ?

afaik, Instances are available in both versions,
XSheet feature is in TVPA Pro version only.

TVP Animation 8.5 and TVP Animation Pro 8.5 have the new instance engine.
TVP Animation contains all tools and effects for animate your drawings.
TVP Animation Pro contains all features of TVP Animation plus a XSheet System and a Project Management System plus all video effects and some plug-ins (like the Video Canon one).

Versions 8.5.3 is available for download since this morning.

If you have previously downloaded a 8.5.x version, you should be able to get this latest version by selecting "Check for Updates" in the About panel.

For the other users who are still in 8.1.x, you can only have this version by filling the update request form.

To update your 8.5.x version, you can use the About > Check for update option.
Otherwise, fill the update request form from the TVPaint.com homepage.

Hi everybody,
Today a new 8.5.8 update for both TVP Animation Standard and Professional Edition.

The 8.5.8 fixes a crash with the AutoPaint effect and the paper manager.
Some optimizations increase the productivity of the software.
For whom who have some troubles with the dongle protection, this update fixes it.

And now the more important features for german users!
We are pround to annouce the addition of the german language in the software.
Go into the Edit > Preferences to modify the language of the software.
