Ah , the art of subtle gestures and nuances in body language. This, has recently become my own concerted task. If I am reading your sketches correctly and I may not be, your tests In my view are still rushed. Slow down at the end of a head toss and anchor the gesture with a small hold -- let it synch in before it completes the move. But then comes the squirrel; to freeze frame but keep the drawing alive should I boil my lines? I would freeze most of the head's lines while distracting the viewer from these dead lines by continuing with a motion in the eye or a strand of hair that drops because it is too much for its weight to hold a freeze. This way life never stops.

But I don't know if I am even telling you something you are not all that interested in. I got on a running thought here just because I am grappling with such subtleties in my current work.
