New software: Storyboarder

Post by neonnoodle »

For a while I have been following the progress of Charles Forman's application "Storyboard Fountain." It looks like the software has been renamed Storyboarder and is now free for Windows, Mac and Linux!

https://wonderunit.com/storyboarder/

It's based on Pitch Docter, Pixar's in-house animatic tool, and is designed for fast boarding for the concept stage. Looks useful.

Hi! I was happy to find this post in my google analytics. I love TVPaint!!!

Thanks for mentioning Storyboarder @neonnoodle.

I just updated the site a bunch to showcase some of the features I don't think most people easily find.

I would love your feedback and suggestions!

Thanks again!!!!

That's a great find Neonnoodle, thanks for sharing. Going to give Storyboarder a closer look as soon as I get a couple of hours of free time on my hands.

@charlesforman

This looks neat. But since you asked for feedback... Could you think about reworking the page to remove the derogatory remarks against Sony and tone down the language? Sony sponsors a lot of live action, animation and video game work and make a lot of great content, the remark seems highly unnecessary.

Otherwise we can't use it in a professional environment where I am or in education institutions due to edu/company policy. It's up to you, I'm just pointing it out.
