Here is a new video from Aaron Blaise , on animating Dialogue (lip sync) .

At around the 1:35 mark - through - 1:57 he talks about using TVPaint.

“This software is TVPaint, something I picked up about a year ago, I really dig it. I’m a traditional animator , I come from drawing on paper , and for me it’s the closest thing I’ve been able to find where I’m working paperless , where I’m working digitally, but it still has that feeling like I’m working on paper.”

An article about animator/illustrator Aaron Blaise :

"If I'm doing animation, I use TVPaint. My background in animation is with paper and pencil. TVPaint has been the closest thing I can find that feels like I'm still working in a traditional way."

Aaron Blaise will be adding a 6 - 7 hour series of basic animation tutorials to his webstore soon.

They have finished shooting the videos and are now editing them. As you can see on his Cintiq screen , he used TVPaint to animate the tutorials.

Nice to read (on Facebook) that Aaron Blaise is making a short film using TVPaint. Also, his new set of animation tutorials (using TVPaint) should be available soon.

"I’ve been excited more and more recently by the possibilities of TVPaint. It had been a little while since I had sat down and created any original animation so I got the itch to do something fun. This was just a quick little piece that I created in 8 days using my Wacom Cintiq and TVPaint. I was thinking about elephants when I got the idea for this character name Cyrano. This short animation shows some of the hijinks he gets into with his trunk. I hope you like it… I think I’ll do more with this character soon."

Aaron writes on his website and Facebook page:

https://www.facebook.com/AaronBlaiseArt ... 3233544529" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

"I am so glad to report that after months of hard work my brand new ANIMATION COURSES are now on sale. For today only you can get them for over 60% OFF. (today only, Sunday , April 12) "

*EDIT: The website has been experiencing some problems today (Sunday April 12th) so it seems that the discount price will be extended until end of day on Monday , April 13th.

I still can't access the site. It says the server is being upgraded....? I could possibly scrape together $49, but at $129 I would die of starvation before I finished watching the videos :(

Even at its full price, for over 7 hours AND the TVPaint files, you know it is well worth the money :)
