Improved Paint Bucket source behavior with selection

I couldn't find it anywhere in the discussions, and I don't think this exists now in TVP - so I post it in feature requests.
When I use a selection tool, to be able to fill only part of a drawing, the Paint Bucket doesn't seem to recognize the existing lines as a boundary. Same happens when using masks for similar purpose. This makes use of masks and selections almost obsolete when working on complex toning... In my opinion this needs a serious improvement - because obviously there is a good reason to use masks in addition to the drawings...
you can see what I mean in the attachments
thanks!

agreed,
though this behaviour follows from the internal logic of how selections work in tvpaint, which is: not forming a border

so maybe an option should be available similar to disabling contiguous fill in Ps.
this would make a difference between just filling the selection you click on vs filling one selection results in all the selections being filled(=contiguous).
in tvpaint the latter is now always the case, it is always filling in a"contiguous"-like mode where all selections are being filled weather they are connected or not.

so the option choice should be:
border vs contiguous filling
