[SOLVED] About brushes...

Hello guys, I created a new brush based on the PenBrush and using one of the textures. The result looks great above a white background, but when I use
a darker one... you can see little points of light or white specks that doesn't blend with the background or any other color than white. How I can solve this?
Thanks in advance.

this is strange, shouldn't be like that
but I am on tvp 11 - I can't remember how it was on 10 (I suppose you are on 10.5?). can you post a full screenshot with your timeline visible too?

Hello Soom, yes I'm on 10. Tried to recreate the test again, this time showing the timeline. These little white specks seems to be part of the texture (like tiny points of light) I was thinking about applying some kind of multiply or transparency.

hi again
I checked it in TVP 10.5, and cannot recreate this behavior. But now in your new screenshot I see another strange thing - both layers have Stencil mark ON, but there is no Mask sign ON, which, in my experience, is impossible, because you have to turn on the Mask in order to make Stencil to show up. Something is not right there. I would assume there is something wrong with your TVP installation, unless there is some strange setting I don't know about. And please post your full tech. details, as stated by Fabrice before.

Soom: sorry, this only shows the state of the stencil if it were activated - normal or reversed. There's no stencil active.
nestorantonio: Please check this:
- create a new layer below the current one
- do some strokes without paper, full opacity, in a bright colour, under the strange brush
- check for white spots again. (and do a screenshot of this as well).
I couldn't reproduce your behaviour on 10.5.

Ok, I see - is it like that on TVP 10.0, and not on 10.5? because on 10.5 you don't see these indications, unless the Mask is on.
so if it's TVP 10.0, it immediately brings a question which I will not ask here...

I've been using 10.0 since I'm a user of Lazybrush.
These are my specs:
-Windows 7
-32 bit
-TVPaint 10.0 Professional
-Cintiq 13HD
Hi slowtiger. I did the test, it seems the white spots are more visible when using white to black backgrounds.

10.0.16, though some people at the office already uses 11. Do you think that If I update the software to the latest version will solve the problem?

You should at least update to the latest v10 version (10.5.7), by going to this page :
https://www.tvpaint.com/update" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and filling the form with your lock and unlock codes, then see if the issue is still happening.

wait, isn't it easier to update by going to Help > Check For Updates... ?

Yes, you definitely have to update to 10.5 - this, among others, will solve a lot of issues and add useful functions.
