Color Panel design suggestion

I would love the color panel to have simple buttons with clear recognizable symbols for each adjustment menu item, and one button to collapse the adjustments (not to have another menu item ("A and B colors") like now). I didn't pay much attention to color panel before, because I was mainly animating, but now I had a little project, that involved lot's of coloring, and I got really tired of using that menu...
Here is a little sketch of what I mean:

Really nice idea. At the moment I'm using the Color Panel only in "A & B color"-mode to save space. But I often need to switch to the chromatic wheel to choose a specific color, which gets annoying pretty fast. So +1

That's interesting, I didn't think people needed to switch the way to pick up colours that often. I thought they simply chose a way and got stuck with it. So, thank you very much for this feedback.

same :) a shortcut could be nice too (if it doesn't already exist)

I believe most of us are floating between Color Switches and fine tuning tools, so yes - we have to switch a lot. And collapsing the color panel fast while not using it, but only leaving A + B would be essential, because choosing that from a menu is a bit counter-intuitive...

Maybe something related: If I starting TVPaint the color panel reduced to A & B Color and choose Chromatic Wheel after that I always get a tiny chromatic wheel and have to rescale the window to use it.

I don't know if it's possible to make the color panel remember it's size, even if I chosen another mode or as an alternative the chromatic wheel could be a bit bigger by default.

It should to be the case because I don't have this trouble (When I switch from Chromatic Wheel / AB colour / chromatic wheel again, it keeps the good size)

Really? I tried it again.

1. Choosing "Chromatic Wheel"
2. Scaling the panel to make it usable.
3. Choosing "A & B Colors"
4. Restarting TVPaint
5. Switching the panel back to "Chromatic wheel"-mode

And voilĂ , I get a tiny Chromatic Wheel.

BTW, the issue is the same with Mixer and Palette

Yes True, and for this reason the request to be able to have two or more colorpanelmodes open simultaneously was made before.
for instance i would like to have both the sliders and the mixer open at the same time

I know (and so do you) => http://forum.tvpaint.com/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=9547" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Please do not mix the requests. :)

yeah but these request have the same problem as their source.
that problem being "no direct acces to the different colorpanel modes"
i was just trying to point that out, sorry if that wasn't clear

(just sandboxing... ) new shortcuts function to switch the palette mode:

Regarding the demand for another color panel, it seems a bit complicated to do but not impossible.
What is definitely too complex is to have more cursor colors (than A & B).
