Elodie, I haven't used a sound booth in ages and I have one in my house. A good microphone is sufficient. We recorded Isabella Rossellini's VO on a laptop in her kitchen. Our composer setup a sound system with mic and preamp for my students for little over $200.

You wouldn't need a soundproof booth, just a quiet room and a half-decent microphone (which are not expensive these days), a pop filter helps also.

I daresay, Elodie, if you did the narration with your French-accented English, all of the male animators would be asking for your telephone number

That's the problem : TVPaint is not in a quiet zone (industrial zone with trucks) and the office is NEVER quiet

How do you think of to use Microsoft Windows "Sam" or MacOS X "Alex" for their narration ?

according to me youtube is best but apart this you can go for flinger orother video tutorial sites

An office full of programmers... yeah, about like being on a pirate ship in my experience, except we programmers cuss even more.

That's what I've ben doing lately, because I can draw and record video any time of day and then wake up at 3:00 AM, when it is quiet, to record the narration. I don't really like doing it this way though.

I have a new tutorial covering the natural media painting tools in TVP Animation 10. These tools give the most realistic paint on canvas feel I have ever experienced in digital art. Check it out!

Great idea, Terrence! TVPaint is great for this, I've been exploring some similar stuff with TVPaint this past week. You got almost a Bob Ross voice when painting those trees

Wow, great result !

Thank you guys! I used to watch Bob Ross' show fanatically and, even back on the Amiga, tried to duplicate his techniques in the different paint programs available back then. Needless to say, we didn't have brushes even close to what we have in TVPaint today. It feels very natural.

If this goes on any longer, I see TVP being advertised as "now with original Bob Ross® brushes included!" on the shopping channel on TV.
